" Education is not the filling of a pail, but the lighting of a fire."

- Maria Montessori

One of the key goals of the Montessori program is to foster independent thinking and active engagement in children, setting it apart from many conventional school programs. Within the Montessori environment, children are surrounded by a wide array of beautiful and captivating materials that are tailored to their age and development. These materials are carefully designed to address the specific needs and interests of children across five main curriculum areas.

Sensory

Early sensorial impressions increase the children’s powers of observation and deduction, broaden their vocabulary and contribute to understanding of formal educational concepts.

Culture Studies

Develop independence, fine and gross motor skills, social skills, self-confidence and self-discipline.

Practical Life

Bring awareness that everything in the universe is connected and inter-dependent. Children use globes, puzzle maps and flags to build their understanding of other countries and cultures.

Language

Materials are based on a carefully structured phonic approach to writing and reading.

Mathematics

The children learn to count, associate quantity and numerals, and gain a sensorial impression of the decimal systems.
